Editorial policy
How we choose, check, label and correct what we publish.
Accuracy and sources
We rely on primary sources wherever they exist: regulator notices and decisions, legislation, court filings, company reports and statements made on the record. When a story depends on a single source we say so. We link to the original document when it is public.
Independence
Coverage decisions are made by the newsroom. Advertisers, sponsors and event partners do not review stories before publication and cannot buy or remove coverage.
Labelling
- News and analysis are written or commissioned by the newsroom.
- Press Releases are company announcements published as received, in their own section, and are not edited for content.
- Sponsored content is paid for by a partner and is clearly marked as such at the top of the article.
How we use technology
We use software tools, including AI models, to monitor sources, summarise long documents, translate and help draft and edit copy. A named editor is accountable for every story we publish, and facts, figures and quotes are checked against the source before publication.
Corrections
If we get something wrong we fix it promptly. Material corrections are noted at the end of the article with the date of the change. To report an error, use our contact page and choose “Correction”.
Conflicts of interest
iGamingToday is published by VAK Marketing, an agency that works with companies in the industry. Clients of the agency receive no special treatment in our coverage, and when a story involves one of them we say so in the article. Journalists and contributors must also disclose any financial interest in companies they cover.
Right of reply
Companies and people who are the subject of critical reporting are given a reasonable opportunity to respond before publication. Responses received after publication are added to the article.
